Today the commercial products become more and more competitive. It is difficult for us to distinct the basic products in the technical level, quality, price and so on. Most of different brand of the products have the same similar in the market function, quality, prices, and so on. Therefore, the advertising is usually focused on the consumersˋpurchase and ownership of the attractions of the "emotional interest.”The first feeling of the products is a decisive role in consumer decision-making. Designers should pay the most attention to emotional factors in the design. The article mainly from the following three points: 1. How products can trigger feelings. 2. How to describe a product that contains the emotional factors. 3. Designers how to design Products better and take advantage of these emotional factors.
Key words: product design, emotional, emotional feelings With the continuous development of society and quality of life of the people, Products have been given the more functions and People growth demand on the spiritual level of product. We pay more attention the emotional aspects and the emotional characteristics of the product itself and users of the emotional and psychological response. Products not only satisfy the users with the functional material, but also with the spirit of functional products. From personal experience we know that products will trigger a strong emotional reaction. These emotions of the products will not only affect the decision to buy the product, but also feeling of use it. Product design and methods using in a variety of products affect people's mood, feeling emotional impact. Even the simplest of products can make people having complicated feelings. For example, the beautiful product would make people have a strong desire and glad to have nice things. When we use products, we often have some doubts, disturbed and so on.
1. How products can trigger feelings Passion is innate characteristics, the role of outsiders in ourselves when a physiological response. This reaction can be divided into two categories. The first "impression" .That is a change in the outside world: things such as weather, as for the physical, will produce cold, heat, cold, warm feeling, but the only response and no sense, therefore, that can only be regarded as a "feeling." However, because of changes in weather also caused sorrow, joy and worry, like other physiological responses. And the physiological response of this kind is not only emotionally but also unreliable, so called "feelings."
"Feelings" and "feelings" are things outside of a role in their physiological responses, although the two are different. It is inseparable from the internal links; it referred to as the "emotional reaction." Passion is an important component of one's personality.
Emotion is decided by the needs and expectations. When the needs and aspirations of people would have been satisfied with pleasure, the emotional favorite, needs and expectations are not met. Be distressed sickening feeling. (2) How the product can trigger feelings Emotional trigger products vary from person to person, the same product for different people experience and feel is different. It is difficult to find product design and the relationship between emotional responses. However, we can still trigger feelings of the whole process to find potential law. Emotional trigger product plans, we can see that it gives us an incentive to product with t their own expectations, aesthetic standards attitude measure. The product will eventually lead to emotional reactions. This emotional reaction is characterized by the following: 1). Products vary from the emotional trigger; different people have different experience and feel of the same products. Due to the cultural background, level of knowledge, aesthetic standards, the different living habits, people have different attitude to the desired goals, benchmarks. It would be a completely different product with an emotional reaction that is not surprising.
2). Such a feeling everyone has timeliness: personal expectations, standards and attitudes will change with changing of the age and environment. There often have different reactions with the same product in different stages.
3). Such emotions are composite. We may have some different feelings in the same product. It is precisely because we have a diverse of evaluation factors, the sentiment is usually not a single one.
2. Description and evaluation of emotional factors contained in the products
Designers design the product, in addition to considering function of the product, but also giving a certain pattern. And morphology can show some character. People use products that the kinds of information that give raise to different feelings. When the designers design the appearance and texture of the products, the feel is a sense of aesthetic experience. The user will have a good emotional feeling. Modern products generally convey two types of information, one is rational information: materials and crafts; another was the emotional information, such as product designs, colors, and the method of using. The first information base on the former, while the latter is more associated with the product shape.
